With a solid foundation from one of Sri Lanka's premier technical institutes, he delved into the world of sandblasting painting at the Colombo Dockyards, dedicating an impressive nine years to honing his skills in this specialized field. During this period, he not only acquired technical proficiency but also developed a keen understanding of the intricacies of the maritime industry.

Training at Malaysia

Chamila Amila Kumara's illustrious career reached a significant milestone in 2015 when he was selected to represent Sri Lanka in a specialized training program on "Wapper Blasting" held in Malaysia. This exclusive training, conducted by experts from the United States, showcased his recognition as a skilled professional in the field. The opportunity to undergo Wapper Blasting training not only highlighted Chamila Amila Kumara's expertise but also positioned him as a representative of Sri Lanka on an international platform.

Begining of professional repertoire

His journey took him to Bahrain's Ashri Shipyard, where he continued to refine his craft amidst diverse challenges and gained exposure to global maritime practices. Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to personal and professional growth, he later took on the role of a seaman at Ocean Shipping Management in Singapore.
